Residential window film fitted to a home living room window

Residential Window Tinting Belfast

Window film for homes across Belfast and Northern Ireland. Privacy, heat, glare and UV.

Residential window film covers the problems that come with the glass in a house: rooms that overheat, glare on screens, a front room overlooked from the pavement, and furniture and flooring fading in the sun.

It is fitted to the glass already in the frame. That makes it a considerably cheaper answer than new glazing, and it can be applied room by room rather than as a whole-house job.

Privacy without losing the light

The most common domestic request is privacy for a ground floor room facing a street, a path or a neighbouring window. Blinds and net curtains solve it by removing the daylight. Film solves it by treating the glass, so the room keeps its brightness. Reflective film gives daytime privacy while keeping the view out. Frosted film gives full privacy day and night where the view matters less, such as a bathroom or a front door panel.

Heat, sunrooms and extensions

Modern extensions, sunrooms and bifold doors bring in far more glass than older houses were built with, and with it far more heat. Solar film reduces the heat entering through those large glazed areas. Where the problem is a conservatory specifically, the roof glazing is usually the surface that needs treating rather than the side windows.

Protecting interiors from fading

Sunlight fades fabric, wood, flooring and artwork over time, and the damage is not reversible. Our automotive films block up to 99% of UV rays, and UV rejection is a standard property of quality residential film as well. If you have a room where a rug or a sofa has visibly faded along one edge, that is the case for film.

Getting a price

For most homes we can quote from photographs and rough measurements without needing to visit. Send images of the windows in question, note roughly how many panes and their approximate size, and tell us what you are trying to fix. Where a site visit is genuinely needed, we will say so rather than quoting blind.

Common questions

Residential Window Tinting Belfast

How much does window film cost for a house?

It depends on the number of panes, their size, the film chosen and access. We do not publish a flat rate because a single large picture window and six small panes are different jobs. Send photos and rough measurements and you will get a specific figure rather than a range.

Will window film stop people seeing into my front room?

Reflective privacy film does during daylight, and keeps your view out. After dark, once your lights are on, the effect reverses and the room becomes visible. If you need privacy in the evening, frosted film or blinds at night are the honest answer.

Does window film damage double glazing?

The wrong film on the wrong sealed unit can raise thermal stress on the glass. This is why the glazing should be assessed before a film is chosen, taking into account glass type, size, orientation and any existing coating. We check first.

How long does home window film last?

Quality film applied to interior glass is a long-term product rather than a seasonal one, and comes with a manufacturer warranty. We are in the process of publishing the exact warranty terms for each film line, and will confirm the specific duration for the product quoted before you commit.
